Here in the UK we dont seem to get a proper covering of snow most years (except for lucky people in places like the scottish highlands). So this morning has been incredibly special to me.
There'd been talk of snow, but no-one was sure whether it would be the usual damp layer that just about covers the garden path, or something more significant . When I woke up and saw the white light streaming into my room I still didn't know whether it'd be right or not. But soon I heard that school was cancelled, so it had to be fairly significant, and I left the house at about 8:15 to find just what I'd always imagined.
Climbing up the nearest hill, away from the town I live in, there was no-one around. It felt like Iceland, or some ancient and primeval tundra. I could convince myself that no-one in the whole history of the world had trod the path I was following before (even tho I know I did, only a few months back). And from the top it was just indescribably beautiful...

cool! we got no snow
i think there has been 3 times when we were all aloud to go home 
the problem is when it snows it snows so the people on the buses can't come into school, so basically half the school can't get in, but because the teachers are tight the people that live in the town still have to go to school
well its ok today because im not at school either because its mock interview day so you just have to go into school at the time of your interview and you have the rest of the day to "study" hehe

We never get any snow...probably because i live about 500 meters away from the sea..too much salt..
Today it is bright and warm and sunny..which is just as good as snow =D

Looks like Wintersmith is visiting
It started snowing this morning. It still is.
Last year, the electricity broke down in our region, because cables got too heavy with all that snow. (The poles gave in.) Looks like that may happen again if it continues snowing.
Let's see if they solved that problem.

we don't get snow here in cape town,maybe on the coldest of winters,but temps don't often go below more than like 10C,so is pretty nice here,today was 31C

I got snow too! And my bus never turned up for school! And no-one could take me in! woohoo! (Although I spent the day writing a story for english coursework)

Well, we had a little sleet today. I have to say, walking down the would-be-icey-but-is-now-just-slippery-slush alleyways to catch the bus in a hurry wasn't as much fun as in the snow

We never get any snow... probably because I live in Australia (better known as XXXX). We can drive up to the mountains, but even then the easily accessible snow in winter is more like the well-trodden slush found in Ankh-Morpork streets than the pure whiteness which might be found on the shoulders of Snowy Slopes...
