Create an Ankh-Morpork newspaper frontpage competition!

If anyone does want to do this i could organize you into small groups with a role each such as;

Reporter, - In charge of the stories/text

Editor, - In charge of headlines and positioning

Photographer, - In charge of pictures/drawings

these are only vage ideas which i will ellaborate on after some feedback,

also another idea, although i dont know if we could do it, is having photo's like a real Paper.
the photo's could be as photoshopped as you want but i dont know if there is enough people that can do photography

from previous experience, sorting people into groups is a very complex and hair-ripping-out experience. i would suggest that is was an indivudual competition and that you only design the front cover of the paper.

only suggestions, but i think this idea of yours is a really cunning plan

unfortunately,this sort of thing is right up my alley,i do this sort of thing bat college,meaning i mess with layouts and type and headlines and photos and stuff and i come here for a break.so i don't think i'll join,but if i could i'd like to put my skills to use and be one of the critics,because i think that from learning how to do layouts for print ads and newspapers and stuff,i would be able to devote my semi-learned eye to determine how well the layouts work.

i dunno,but if i have the time then maybe i will join,but not at the mo.

If I could find time that'd be really fun, although I don't know how I'd upload it.

It sounds like people wouldnt be able to donate too much time too it,

i can think of 2 solutions,
- a long time period is allowed to do it
- people can work in pairs or trios (i like the word trio)

so tell al your friends if they like funny stuff and media or even if they might just find doing this fun.

the more interest i get the easier this whole thing will be

would be cool,but again,time is of the essence.and now that people are going back to school and college and work i think that it might be a good idea to hold this sort of thing during the holidays.you'd get more feedback.

i will hold onto the contacts and maybe do it over the summer holidays or whenever most people find it easy.
