Ideas for Discworld!!!!

i keep thinking of a character i call 'Rigel',

he is like a normal student that would belong in our world, with the student laziness and fashion of modern square spectacles and a scarf.

he has the modern spinny, spiky swirly hairstyle that teens have and has no idea of what he wants to do in the future.

he is a logical genius and a social retard. he has a friend who is simple but socially dominant and manipulative and a rather unsuccessful con artist.

any other ideas for characters?

I think a chef kind of character would be good
"touch my food
feel my fork"

I think an old fashioned, gummy old elder would be good.
like attacking young children for being to 'Youthfull'

I've been toying with a plot line for a short fan story, ARSA - the Ankh-Morpork Research into Space Assosciation. Perhaps a branch of the un-seen university similar to hex's team will work on thaumatic boosters. Working title

i had an idea for a story, but i'm worryed its going to be to much like Discworld. What happens is that there are three girls who used to be pirates, they got sucked it to this groverment thing and now work for a zombie named Rhys. This is all before the story starts. Any way in the short run - there is the man, George, who is crazy and wants to distroy the world cause of all the sinning and stuff. the girls have to stop him and one of them dies saving her sister at the very start. she comes back as an angel cause she gave her life for some one else. Any she annoys Death and helps fo stop the bad guy. oh and then Alice comes into it at some point - shes a werewolf - and Sheena kills George by stabing him with her dead sisters volin bow thingy! sorry if that was a little hard to follow but hopefully when i finish it it will be better!

not that its a new idea, but i want to see the monks of cool in action.

i thought loads of people would add stuff to this but i guess they dont all have ideas they are proud of for posting
