TCP/IP Port query

I've seen the post about the game server, but can't even get at the chat server at the moment from home (although I was connected from work for most of the day)

Do I need any particular TCP or UDP ports open on my (extremely paranoid) firewall to access the chat and/or game servers?

Sorry, I should have replied to this earlier.

Shouldn't need any incoming ports open, nope Smile

So long as you can connect outgoing to ports 80 and 6667 you should be OK.

The reason you couldn't connect was that the server wasn't up - it's now up 24/7.

No problem Dewi - I was away for the weekend anyway and have just got back.

As I said in my original post, the firewall at home is extremely paranoid. I've added outbound TCP 6667 and am connecting to the chat server OK now.

Cheers

OK, outgoing ports is maybe a tad paranoid. But I know that many places block both incoming and outgoing, and my ultimate aim is to have the game playable just through a port 80 http proxy.

That won't be for a while yet though...
