Glad to hear that you are enjoying it some players think i am a bit cruel when playing

On the numbering thing if you want the posts numbered for easy reference how about in the title like i have just done rather than in four places each time like your last post? Tho i am willing to do you way if you find it easier?

Also did you know that you can cut and paste the moves from the thudboard app just click on the little 2page icon right of your move in the app and then you can use the paste option(IE in windows "ctrl v" not sure what it is for Linux and mac users) in the forum to post your move

gee, completely different game this is. Great machanism! Dwarves are stronger now against the edge of the board, trolls so much faster.

Hey SaneAlex,

How do you determine the score of this game?
You can only win, loose or play a tie? Aren't there any points involved to determine who has won, in case both players win theyre Dwarf battle and loose theyre Troll, for example?

And is it allowed to pass?

Yes the game does have a different feel to traditional Thud tho i do think that it fulfills the Discworld thing of Trolls ambushing Dwarfs and vice versa one thing i have noticed about this game is that the advantage can switch rapidly between sides more so than in the traditional game.

Yes this game has defined win lose or draw state. Points do not come into it. And no you cannot pass on making a move if it is your turn then you have to make a move even if it is to your own disadvantage.

One of the reasons that i am wanting to play under the new proposed rule is to see if that balances the game more between Trolls and Dwarfs the game more as it seems to me and others that after playing a few games of KVT that Dwarfs have the advantage (either they can force a draw by negative play or gain early significant advantage by early attacking play then using the defensive play that can be used to force a draw)
