Site Safety

Actually, I will give us all a promotion and say: Lee, Dewi - Site gods. Mr Scrub, Oograh Boike, Ponder and SANEAlex - Arch Druids (and we're about to add two wonderfully lovely German folks who have volunteered to mod the German forum but will also be full Druids like the other four! ). This is not ego, but the reality surrounding every IT system on the planet-- the admin with the root password is god!

I say all this to reiterate, please, that anyone who feels you, or someone else on site, has been abused or feels someone else is being abusive can, a) click the ole "flag as offensive link" (if it's a forum topic or blog post), or b) go to any one of the Druids pointing the offending post out, or come directly to Dewi and/or myself. If the Druids can't do something themselves (for example access the PM database), they will come to us anyway.

Just so everyone is sure, Dewi and I have access to every system on the site thus a nasty person can't hide behind anonymity. If someone can't login, they can't get to you; they can only contact us, that's all. If they can contact you, they've logged in and we can trace it.

We want this site to be a safe place for everyone here. To date we've only had issues with spammers and people trying to get links to their dodgy sites. Dewi and I have long experience with Internet communities and it's inevitable someone in a group of a thousand or so people will be a bad apple. When this happens we will take care of it forcefully and permanently, but we have to know to be able to. You can always e-mail us, PM us or have a chat in the game client (challenge us to a game; then it's a private chat!). Do feel free anytime! We want this site to be a good place to be for you.
