i play the trombone. i take lessons in my free time and used to be in an ensemble, but it got closed and i also sometimes played in an orchestra, but didn't like it there. i'm not very good, but i enjoy it a lot.

the trombone looks hard to play, but as with all bass instrumets, is very funky. i only have fairly bad orchestras at the moment there are too many of them

tis not that hard to play. but piano looks confusing to me. i can't do different things with my hands.

i am currently learning the guitar. well i have been for a few months now.
alas i don't have much time to practice enough now-a-days.
*sigh*

but it ROCKS. anyone want to give links to websites with their own music on, if you have any of course.

i did music..then studied it some more and now i can't even remmember what the music building was like oin the inside that's haw fast i ran away.

I sing bit - in school choirs and the odd casual group, nothing serious. But most of all I play flute: I've just made it through grade 8, and as an added bonus I've been able to go to a new county flute choir, which is a great relief, since most of the music we play in the school orchestra is frankly nonsense... typically things like "Elton John's Greatest Hits". I cant tell you how relieved I was to play Dance of the Blessed Spirits in an ensemble after living with the school stuff for so long

but i have to say ugh, Dance of the Blessed Spirits. It's a nice tune, but i fell ill before being able to take my grade 5 flute, so i had to practice it a whole extra term, and then i used it for my solo performance in GCSE so I have played that tune soooo often! And grade 8 flute! wow, i'm aiming to take grade 8 in a years time come spring/summer. I'm taking grade 7 flute this spring

Good luck - I found that between 7 and 8 was the biggest jump, but that may well have been largely because I changed from the local county exams to Associated Board...

we're discussing instrument grades which is probably the most stressful thing about music. Have you ever taken a grade in a musical instrument?

grades are not boring, they're fun! just cos you don't want a nice shiny badge saying how good you are at somethind doesn't mean you can diss it.

I played mostly 'classical' music.
like to play electric guitar as well. \v/

Like to listen to Bach, Slayer and everything in between.

Nicely put - I try to be similarly broad, but perhaps couldn't go as far as Slayer...

I play the clarinet (started learning 14 years ago) but not that much recently. I used to play in an orchestra before I began studying at the university. (Can't attend to rehearsal since then.) I also had some lessons on the saxophone, which really is quite similar, so I count it as one instrument.
I also play some kind of medieval bagpipe sometimes. (The pipe itself is not medieval, though.)

FLORIS are you sure? I thought Kirk Hammet was their only guitarist. Cliff Burton, the megadeth guy, Jason Newstead and Trijulcio or whatever are all basists.

same thing,and kirk is more of a singer than a guitarist for the band,even though he plays pretty well.

i saw METALLICA live in cape town last year!!

awesome stuff,we had a 12 hour music marathon concert and metallica came on last,played for 2 and a half hours,was awesome.

also had bands like seether playing,no others are worth mentioning,except for FAT BOY SLIM

I saw Iron Maiden at Manchesters M.E.N arena in december.

and there is no need to say this but im going to anyway....THEY ROCKED!!!!! They were so heavy and just sooooo awesome! a must see for anyone. bruce's vocals aer just divine..

The only problem was that trivium were supporting them

another old is Iron Maiden who started around that time as well. i think i prefere them over slayer. thier new album is so imense, although i think i may have mentioned this before
