I have noticed that we as social people all have these urges to go off topic sometimes and it can be pleasant untuil someone who actually wants to discuss the topic gets upset. So I have doen the only logical thing. This is an open forum. Anything can be discussed and there is no strict topical guide line to follow. FREEDOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!
1) Obviously though courtesy rules apply but as i get to be overlord of this forum [MINE! IT'S ALL MINE!] jests and rivalries are of course permissible unless the person in question is hurt.
2) Also no one can complain about the topic being suddenly changed unless the topic is in itself offensive in some way.

we have to do R.E, but in year 8 you may choose if you want to go to ethics lesson instead. but because of a lack of teachers, we had no R.E in year 8 and then the next year I wanted to change, but all my friends were staying in R.E. and so I stayed, too. same procedure the year after. and this year we were about to have the same teacher like the two years ago again and i couldn't stand her anymore and unlike the two years before this years ethics teacher is really great, so i changed. i haven't regretted it a minute yet and ethics has become my favourite subject.

and like you think i am religous? I don't hold with the church thing. as a personal faith I think religoun is a positive thing for internal strength alas the ESTABLISHMENT of church ruins it. I mean I like shiny things but the chirches in Italy were so laavig. Santa Maria Majore church especially. and considering the economic power of the Vatican...I mean I know Italian catholocs that don't think the people i the vatican are actually believers.
But then again, I find the hole restraint thing as a bit much. I don't go well with rule- authority issues. To me religeon was designed to find an easy explanation to questions that man had and that then some smart guy figured he could use the Diety characters to make govern men. this would explain the efficient was churches ruled the world and also it explains why many rules are made for health reasons like no alcohol or pork for Muslims. In either case, Karl Popper proved that the question of faith cannot be debated and as such there is no point. I still see it as the "Opiate of the masses" just as I'm sure the religous see my idea of good living as the opiate of the masses but i like it so much more. but I have always been brought up to believe that a knowledge of other faiths and cultures is a part of being cultured and as such I do have some tidbits of information about various faiths and yeah.

i don't know if you know, but there have been several amok runs on german schools in the last years and several more threats. some people in the government think that's the fault of shooter games like counterstrike and wanted to ban them. we've discussed that and found out that many people think that playing those games does not make you more brutal, but scare you off using violence, unless maybe you mental instable.
