I'm not getting the wii, but nintendo is infinitely superior to both sony and xbox. lucky you!!

I've got to sit out of this discussion for the most part, because I'm not into the console gaming scene (with fair enough reason -- I have an obsessive enough personality that I'd never get anything done if I had a console in the house. Neither would my wife.)

But true story. Due to some kind of shipping/inventory SNAFU, when the new Playstation was released last week, apparently, Sony only sent the Canadian Walmarts (or at least those in this area) 2 systems per store. Last Thursday I passed by a gang of very tense über-geeks camped out in front of Walmart, ready to start gouging at each other as soon as the store opened the next morning... :eep:

i have been a PS man since it hit, but i have to say, the Wii is my next pur-chase. i live in Australia, and $1000 for a console is silly. very silly. so i will buy the much more awesome Wii and let my friends buy the ps3. then i can just go over to their place and play

But you know what? If there was only a limited supply of *anything*, you'd probably still find people ready to fight over them!

No man... Wii wish you a happy christmas and all that but have you seen 'Eye of Judgement' on PS3? You have a real pack of cards (think Yu Gi Oh...ish) and as you hold the one you want to play the PS3 reads it and on screen you can see you hand with the dragon / dwarf / troll (see how THUD FRIENDLY IT IS?) standing on it!? I swear it's even more innovative than all of Wii's nunchuck waving so far.

Having said that I'll probably buy both Wii n PS3 (360 just doesn't do it 4 me)...

fairy nuff. i do play PC games aswell and there is some amazin games out there but i think that playing on a console is much better - don't ask me why

there is a reall good game but it is quite old called "metal fatigue" that rocks soooo hard (anyone else played it??)

In italy WWII isn't selled yet... but... if I must be honest... I play with consolles and not with the PC only for fighting games like Tekken or Soul Calibur, that aren't published for PCs... So the PS series is the best, from my point of view, and I'm waiting trepidant for the PS3...

I think maybe she deserves a Darwin award but i also think that the Radio station that ran the competition deserves an organisational Darwin award for running such a competition without checking the heath risks involved IE i hope the radio station is sued out of existence by any relatives she may still have living. It has long been known the effects of drinking water to excess.
