We've been working on an alternative style skin for thudgame.com for a little while in response to feedback received earlier. Some people really love the thudgame.com look, some hate it and some haven't really thought about it much. Usually it's the designers who have the strongest views and now, for those with really strong views, we want to let them do something about it. We want to give the creative members of thudgame.com a chance to show off! 
I hereby announce the great Thudgame.com styling competition! In the same way that Dave Shea runs the CSS Zen Garden, we want designers, coders and pretty much anyone that wants to have a go to put finger to keyboard and show us what this baby can do. I've uploaded the controlling CSS file here and it is to be modified to provide the new style. We prefer to host the graphics but copyright will remain with you, or the original copyright holder. The php and html will not be modified as this is a design exercise, not a code fest. Should anyone need testbed facilities, e-mail me offline and we'll set something up for you.
The competition goes until Hogswatch and will be decided by a complete panel (as opposed to a partial panel, or even an impartial panel!) to be named later. The winner will be announced at Hogswatch and will receive a prize and Discworld swag. Contest begins NOW!
