On second thought, I don't think it is very clever not to take that dwarf sacrifice. At the moment it seems like getting even the next move. But while I am still learning I need that lesson. Or was my move just the one you wanted to prevent?

Most players me included go for taking the lone dwarf the reason i was willing to sacrifice it was to prevent the move you made you do get at least four dwarfs for your troll sacrifice and prevent me building a first block but i think that it will make it easier for me to build another block or 2 that might be worth more trolls to me in the long run.

Having said that as i say not many players do the move you have done it is good to get trolls out early, if you can prevent me from building a strong dwarf block from this position then it was the right decision but you now have to take my dwarf on J8 can you do so in a way that strengthens your troll position? and makes me react to your move rather than you reacting to my next move.

To be honest, the idea didn't apper to me. But a dwarf moved to G12 might not work in every case. The dwarf on F13 would be essential for capturing a troll that way, I think. The rest of the block should stay solid as well. So troll moves ending at F11, F12, H11, H12 would lead to a troll captured. But your move G11-E13 would then capture 4 dwarves, leaving the one on G12 alone and the rest of the block not capable to capture a troll. Unless I am completely wrong, I consider my choice better than the one you expected.

Sorry i did a typo i meant F12 as in somthing like N12-F12 which would have either forced me to retreat allowing a you to consolidate your block or what i would have done was take F12 and F13 by moveing to G12 where you could have then taken it i would then tried to get the troll on H10 close enough to prevent you reforming the block.
