Referring to Points

Anyone who's read the discussion between myself and Dearmer will know that there's a little something that's been left in the stocking of your user account since sometime last week. Near the very bottom there's an item called "Your referral link" and underneath will be a thudgame.com URL with a random string of numbers and letters at the end. It's personalised to you so that the system knows anyone you refer here got there because of you and you alone.

It works like this:
You send an e-mail to a friend, relative or someone you think will really like thudgame.com, Thud, discworld, etc, saying something like "check this site out-- click here and have a look" or whatever (something that doesn't sound so much like a cheesy spam mail preferrably). If they click on the link you get a point (mind that this only works once). If they then join the site you get four more points.

Now a quick look at the Thudpoints standings so far and Ponder, Magrat and SANEAlex are doing sterling work padding on the points but Dewi, OB and I are leading the pack. Now I know I'm a gobby bastard, and most of our points are from recovering our posts from the exile of anonymity but I'm surprised we're still in the lead after over a week! Well, here's a little something to help everyone bank some points for the time when the Ankh-Morpork Real Estate agency opens for business in the next few weeks (which is the teaser for a coming announcement blog:-D)
