Has anyone else noticed this? Proof that our friendly neighbourhood Web-elves Lee and Dewi are still creating...
I noticed two new somethings today in my account, under the new heading of 'Referrals.' First is 'Your Referral Link,' followed by 'View Users you have Referred'.
Is this what I think it is? Are we going to get the opportunity to refer our friends, family, colleague and associates and contemporaries to Thudgame.com, encouraging them to sign up for their own accounts? And if they're tracking our referrals, does that mean that they're planning on dishing out *points* for referrals? Sounds intriguing... Any Admin want to get us per-syked up about this new bit of fun? Any other rank-and-file user want to speculate?
And speaking of which, I notice that some users, like Magrat, who were so good as to contribute money to Thudgame development and earned the 'Founder' title, and even get a nifty little badge in their profile. Whatever happened to the little bronze bars for those of us who paid for Thudguild memberships on the previous incarnation of the forum? Can we have badges too?
And what about our lilac sprigs? I won't mention any more, because those of us who are entitled know what I'm talking about. Even if we don't actually get special perks yet, or even get told what they will be, I miss those occasional teasing hints and promises that used to come from Lee and Dewi.
The site keeps getting better -- keep up the good work, guys!

Now Dewi's the elf, or at least Imp y Celyn's cousin (I mean, with a name like Dewi Morgan, coming from Llamedos and can say the name of that really long village with no vowels...

Badges are invoked; I need to crack the whip on myself to load up the rest of the graphics from the dev site over to here. We've kept it low-key as Dewi's working on something to allow us to display the relevant badges under people's avatar in the forums and other content. Firstly he's getting points working in the game client.
If he seems a bit quiet at the moment, it's because he's actually away down in Surrey filming a Max Payne fan flick (I think Dewi's the sets and props consultant for them). More info at http://www.payneandredemption.com/

Well, truth be told, it comes from a mind that's starving for content to read! Now I'm playing with the syndication to keep me completely up-to-date; I used to have a bookmark to 'Check for new posts' or whatever the link was on the old forum, but I have yet to find anything as comparable and easily accessible (although Recent Site Posts is pretty close).
If Thud is a healthy escape from the tedium of the harsh real world out there, what does this say about how harsh my life has been of late?

indeed welcome. my threats seem a little hollow now
but any way congrats! did you have to pay the £1000 as well to become a mod? it seemed a little expensive but i thought i might as well.
