Hi everyone, im new here though some of you may know me from other things.
at a recent event (wadfest ) I got a friend who is new to DW and who is a traditional blacksmith and a stonemason to make a small thudstone for the charity auction, it was cut from ironestone and about 130mm tall.
as it got a lot of bids we are planning on making another probably for bernards jamboree in august.
what I am in need of is a pic of the sides of a 4 sided thud stone as the only one I have it the 3 sided one so if anyone here can help with a piccy then we will probably do the next one about 300mm high.
on another point I have been reading about runes recently and the the runes for the letters T.H.U.D. are as follows in the common germanic
futhark ( alphabet )
T tyr a god of war
H hagulaz hail
U aurochs huge cattle nearly as big as elephants and very fierce
D dagaz day
I have a pic of the runes:

odd thud stuff
another thing I have done in the past is come up with live action games of thud and watch out for people to play at events, we set out a board in a field using carpet tiles and people are the pieces.
ask if you want to know more about this

Re: odd thud stuff
the first experimental game was at the first wadfest in derbyshire and it has been a feature of wadfest since then, it was also ot the con I think in 2004 and live 'watch out was at the last clarecraft event and last years wadfest.
I will if asked get it to bernards do in august for those who want to play but to play the original thud we need 41 people, the extra one being the umpire.
if enough people want it I will get it there.
watch out is another dw game by trevor truran and is much faster and requires less people to play it
Live Thud
Hi Dave, have you got some pics of live Thud from Wadfest's past or other events?
