Creating content

Please tell us a little more about creating content. Here are a few items:

When you "create an image," where does it go?

What sort of "event" might one create? Examples?

Very quickly (coz I'm going to post at length here on this) creating content is adding things to the site. What you can add depends on what kind of access you have.

If you are an anonymous user you have NO rights and can't add content. This is to prevent spam and abuse and the site policy will continue to be this indefinitely. Registration is easy and free (unlike elsewhere) thus it's a small barrier to cross to get to post.

If you have registered on the site you can post forum topics or comment on blogs, forum topics and most other content.

If you are a Thudguild member then you can post on the blogs, upload images, create polls and post on Thud and Discworld events that are coming up. We may even change that to allow member events as well.

Admins and Guildmeisters have much more wide-ranging powers, of course, to go with the responsibilities they have. For the moment we still take on volunteers from long-standing members but this will become more formalised very shortly.

I'll add more posts to this forum about content shortly as well.

Thanks for the question! Smile
