In a few moments from now, I will post the last two threads for TT06: the Final and the Semifinal.
Same rules as before apply, but just to be clear on the "forum is default" part, I've made forum mandatory! Missus OB put on her blindfold and picked two names out of a hat. Those two players will need to post a first move within 24 hours!
The other two do not have to wait for that to happen, they can post first move if they feel like it; it is just a way to make sure there are forum games.

Very bad news: the semifinal game had to be locked, and Dwarves are Small disqualified. It has been over 48 hours without any post from DaS, and sadly we had to stick to the Tournament rules, by unanimous referees decision.
The referees had a lengthy debate about this, but decided we had to do this. We have been lenient before, because of misunderstandings and other mishaps, but we have to draw a line somewhere, especially with future Tournaments in mind.
DaS has had several email notifications, before the pause in TT06 and after, and agreed that we would restart on august 22nd. He didn't make it, or chose not to.
Let's be perfectly clear: this was a very tough decision, but we felt we had to make it. We do not take any pleasure in doing this, but we do feel that we need to stick to the rules. Otherwise, what are they for?

That does mean however, that SANEAlex is now official number 3 in TT06. The Finals page has been updated.
Along with a couple of moves played by the Finalists, Mr Scrub and Palm, in forum. This doesn't have to mean anything, they're still planning for a live online game, but nevertheless, it looks like it's going to be an interesting game.

My biggest congratulations to Palm, winner of the 2006 International Thud Tournament! It took a lot to make it to this point but Palm defeated some very talented competition. We will be presenting the 2006 Thud Tournament Trophy to him for a tournament well played! Big Congratulations!
