I havent read Thud!, but i was intrigued...is it any good?? I really like Night Watch, Going Postal and Men at Arms...do you think that it compares??

Personally I think that it is one of TP's best books in recent years. Very funny, intelligent and a fully enjoyable read. Look at how many people play the game because of the book- must be something good going on there.

I second me child of thunder! it is most definately one of Sir Terry's best books, with a tasty sub wossname with sam vimes son being involved a bit.

i finished it yesterday, and i like it very much. it has all the things that make the watch novels great, it casts a slightly different light on angua's and carrot's realtionship, and it has a depth of description that is quite unrivalled. good stuff and a great read.
Would definitely reccomend Thud! Brilliant.
