This is a standard message posted in all TT2006 Round Two games
....and The Battle continues! You've had your fun with the not-entirely-fit, the wouldbees and wannabees, and the ones who said they were in Koom Valley when things went Librarian-poo but weren't
There's a stiff wind blowing across the Valley from the east, and there's a huge crowd around cheering for blood and brains, and little bits of rock. One of them shouts: "Rat on a stick! Get your rat onna stick 'ere!" The red mist over your eyes seems to add to the fog all around. The only thing you see are three fools who thought they could be The Thudmeister. Hah! You'll show them, won't you! There will be only One, and it will be You! Give us a show then! Raise your club, sharpen your axe, and berserk like only you can....
Koom Valley all over again. Shame really, the tourists were coming in nicely, and now you're scaring them off again... Ah well.
There's four of you that made Round Two of TT2006 [**], and again you need to battle all of them. This is one of the games you need to play. If this is the first one you found, check for two other TT2006 - Round 2 games with your name in the topic line.
Remember! You might have ended Round One with, say, 62 points attached to your name, this Round Two starts with 0 (zero) points for all players again!
Same rules apply as for Round One, and scores can be found here.
Games need to end at 7th of august '06, 23:59 BST [***].
The two of you with best final scores will go to the Final Game to meet again for a last, and hopefully violent and very bloody time, and the other two will go to semifinals to find out who'll be One of the Other Two. All of you will go into that final round with 0 (zero) points.
Again, Forum is default, so please stick to the 24-hour rule until you've had an online game (should you want to).
Go for it, Good Luck, Happy Thudding, and killemall!

[*]All in good fun
! No offense intended to any of your former opponents.
[**]Congratulations BTW to Dwarves are Small, Mr Scrub, Palm, and SANEAlex. Well done!
[***]Yes, another two weeks for this round. When setting up the rules, we thought we might have a bit more sign ups, and therefore an extra round. I could give you an extra week, but decided against it; it wouldn't be fair to the Round One players. Better stick to the original plan. I hope you agree.

Apologies for sending the same message to all three of you guys, but I'm fairly sure I want to say the same things, and it's too late to be inventive.
This time around I dont think there'll be any long period when I can't get to the forums*, so I don't have any need to try to play a live game, tho I'm still up for one if you'd like. If you'd like to play live, I think I can do more or less any time within reason - please suggest times that're good for you.
If not, my first move on the forum game is

d E14 - J14
(largely because this approach seems to be the current best suggestion for avoiding the Ultimate Troll strategy. Well, I can dream anyway

*my family holiday starts on the 7th, so I may not be able to post up to the last minute, but apart from that it should be fine

I am ok to continue in the forum or stop and play live after you match with DAS let me know which you would prefer?
d J14 - P8

By "after your match with DAS", were you invisaging it being the same night (saturday?). If so I might have to cry off - it'll probably at least midnight before our game is finished (starting at 21:30 BST), so I'd rather go for another day.
However, I guess I'd marginally prefer to have a live game - largely I guess because I realise that I tend not to use the extra time so well in forum games, so I'm probably better off with a live game.

Thank heavens for that - although the game I played in the last round immediately after being thrashed by DAS actually went quite well
Time-wise, I think it's looking like some time from wednesday of next week (August 2nd) onwards (unless you want to go for a daytime slot): Tomorrow I'm staying over with a friend, Friday I've got to be nice to various relatives, Saturday playing DAS, Sunday playing Palm (if he agrees to the change of day from Friday*), and Monday and probably Tuesday will be you vs DAS.
So, wednesday evening then? (as for time, I'm quite happy starting more or less any time before about 10 / 10:30 pm BST)
The only other thing is this - were you planning to replay the moves we make on forum, or just have it running as a seperate game in case the live game never happens? To me, it makes more sense to go for the second option, as I usually forget the moves I've made in the forum, so it takes more time and effort to replay them than to start afresh. However, that's not an overriding concern, so if you've got a reason you'd prefer to retain these moves I'll think again.

Hi MS (and Alex),
The savegame you link to in your last post scores MS vs SA --> 18 - 20?
That would make the final score 16 MS. I will check getgame, but could you please enlighten me as well? Cheers!
Happy Thudding!

Doh! Of course it's 18-20. Apologies for my poor maths work (you can tell I'm doing further maths A level this year, can't you...)
