I'll commence making TT2006 threads in Forum Thread after I finish this post, so you don't have to do that. Once your thread is in there, you can start playing. After I'm finished doing that, I'll start work on the page for my site. Expect it to be online in a few hours.

The site is up and running. The hyperlinks to gamesaves are dead links, I put in the HTML for convenience; this way it'll take only minor editing later on, when I need all the time I can get.
I'll keep you posted on what games will be on the site in here, if that's OK with you (need to do it somewhere ).

Another thing just occurred to me: if any of you would like to postpone any other games for the time being, that's quite alright. I'll have a word with the moderator , so he won't incomplete any games for the duration of TT2006. But I guess he's got some other things on his mind anyhow.......

The first games have been submitted by SANEAlex (vs CycloUK; forum, ongoing) and Mr Scrub (vs DAS; online, finished). You can find them easily, they are the only games with scores, yet.
Ongoing games are scored as well, but there's a question mark after the final score.
At the end of the page there's a list of scores for all players who finished games. Overall TT2006 scores have a question mark until all games are played.

Yo Oograh (as "president" Bush would call you), I may be being rude here, but if you look at the score table thing in TT2006 round 1 on your site it lists me as having beaten dearmer by 11points whereas if you scroll up to the game it is in fact 21 points. I reckon you must have typed 1 instead of 2. Just thought I should let you know as it means my points tally is 62, not 52. Sorry about this...

As for your scores, I will look into it when I do my next update, which will be in at most an hour.

As it turns out, it wasn't a typo, I just scored the game wrong, and copied that to the table at the end of the page. That just shows that:
1: it is hot over here as well, and I'm not good at maths when it's hot (nor when it's cold, but I needed an excuse ); and
2: with so much games going on, simple statistics will tell that the occasional error is bound to slip in, so check your scores people, and please tell me when you find an error!

Bad news for Dearmer.... Not only did I copy DaS' score wrong in DaS vs Dearmer, I made the same mistake with Dearmer. He did not get -11, but -21.
This is an unforgivable mistake, can't tell how sorry I am.
I'm going to hide in a corner now, feeling very ashamed....

Just a quick dash out of my corner to tell you that I uploaded savegames for online 2529 DaS vs Ponder, 2532 Dearmer vs Mr Scrub, and 2544 DaS vs Dearmer.

We are having some troubles getting the savegames over here, so because the savegames on the pages are out of sync with this finished game, I made the links to the games temporarily dead.

edit: I've replayed the remaining moves manually, it weren't that much anyway. The savegames are on the page.

All fun aside, I'd like to remind you that final posting date and time is Monday next, 24th of july, at 23:59 precisely, BST. That's British Summer Time. If you've got any plans, tactics, or otherwise very good moves planned, it's time to get to them now.

Also, I'd like to ask you to send me savegames any time a move is posted from now on. I'd like to keep the saves and scores page updated as close to real time as I can get. I'm planning on going into Round Two ASAP, and I can only do that if all games are scored. The sooner all games are scored, the sooner we can go into Round Two.

Alright, Lady and Gentlemen, just a few moments ago all TT2006 Round One threads have been locked. I've updated the page one last time, the Dearmer vs Ponder game has been scored. It was the last one that was still ongoing.

If any one of you would like to continue your games, feel free to open a new thread. Just please don't use the "TT2006 - Round (etc)" format, to avoid confusion. If I can make a topic suggestion: "Cont'd TT06 game: XXX vs YYY" and please link or refer to the original game in the first post.

After I submit this post, I'll go and upload the Round Two page. Once I have done that, I'll come back and start making new threads for Round Two, including one in this Tournament section of Thud Forum.
