Without actually checking the post, I do remember Dewi (I think) posting a while back on the various levels of membership. Bottom line is, it's all about how much money you contribute, although I don't recall if Silver/Gold/Diamond come with any more perks than Bronze...

For the moment there are Guild memberships (which, as said, are bronze memberships), Founding Patrons, Thudmeisters (self-explanatory) and Druids which are our mods and folks like OB who have been incredibly helpful just about from the start of things. Druids do things like keep cpomment spammers at bay, maintain the Thudboard app, help write the rules and design the tourney, etc. More Druids are always welcome (AHEM flash or ajax client COUGH! COUGH! ).

As soon as we get the sign-on code, the e-commerce engine, etc. all settled down and being boring we will be adding upgrade (silver, gold and diamond) memberships with cool stuff they can do.

We hadn't said yet, but might as well do so now: anyone who joins/donates before the paperback comes out will get a little diamond on their avatar that says they were there from (or near) the start. Kinda like the lilac sprig Vimes and the others wore in Night Watch; you'll have to have been there and paid the price. Thankfully thudgame.com doesn't have any homicidal maniacs... at least not that we know about, so a reasonable transactional amount will suffice. Then again, there's always SANEAlex and his dwarf wall of death...

So, in short we're just trying to get the tourney off and running then we can scheme up some cool stuff, with great perks, to flog* in the near future. Personal game analyses from Trevor Truran, or one of the Thudmeisters anyone? Watch whilst others play Online Thud? Watch this space

Just because i am sometimes i little bit enthusiastic showing new and other players how to build blocks which BTW my dwarf skills have greatly improved since joining this Thud community thanks to all those who helped and are still helping.

As one of the few Thudmeisters so far i am not too sure how helpful a game analyses from me would be as i know i still make mistakes and miss things in the games i play. But my advise for those who want to learn is to play it ( i really do think the best way to learn the game is by playing someone as good or better than you are) and be willing to take chances on occasions also Oograhs site has some interesting games to download http://www.oograhboike.com/ if you have the Thudboard app http://www.million.nl/thudboard/ and quite a few of these can be cross-referenced on this site in the forum thud thread where on occasions there are insightful comments as or just after the key moves have been made.

All jokes aside i would like to thank Lee and Dewi(Happy un birthday ) for providing a fun site and i am watching the metaphorical space with anticipation.
