In my opinion, the first thing on the ToDo-list is a top-view of the board (like this http://www.deafgamers.com/05screenshots_b/fritz9pic3.jpg )
With the current board it is possible to move the tiny dwarfes right behind a troll and because the troll player can't see which piece moved he might oversee that sneaky dwarf! I know that it might be possible to spot that little assassin by rotating the board, but I really hate paranoidy spinning at the start of my turn. :-\

Yes, that's a popular request, and I believe is in the works - can Dewi or Lee clarify the current situation?

Yup - I need to make the client skinnable which will hopefully be either this update coming or the next. This will allow us to show you the graphics you want
Re:
hmm. what happened to this idea? because i think it's quite good. sneaky dwarfes are cool if you're the dwarfs and terribly annoying if you're the trolls.

Re:
you can see the board in that way. just go to "settings" in the game window, change the thingy from "isometric" to "top down", and thats it.

Re:
true. thanks. unfortunately it doesn't work properly with me. but the live client refuses to work on opera anyway and on firefox i get little squares and circles and that's in top down anyway. so that's ok.

Ratty, wait a few seconds; it may just need to load up the graphics first. If it persists, try reloading the game. Usually once you've loaded the graphics once they're cached in the browser for the duration so they load from the hard disk rather than being downloaded everytime.

Re:
nah, doesn't. tried it, didn't happen, the circles and squares stayed. reloading didn't help either. but it doesn't matter too much, i mean it works anyway.
