Hidden directory

Druid

Hi Mc,

just a question, mind you. Is there any reason why you changed the thudboard directory to .thudboard (=hidden) in Linux version from (I think it was) 1.1 onwards?
It's just that it's quite a bore to change view every time. "View hidden files" brings up a lot of stuff I don't need that clutters the Konqueror window, but I need to set that every time in order to get to the savegames.

Cheers,

OB.

Since 1.1 there is a personal save-folder, located in your home directory (both Win & Linux). This change was suggested and mostly implemented by Jan Stocker, so I just went with it.

For backwards compatibility, the 'old' battles folder can still be used (if placed in the same folder as the app is installed), so this may be a workaround for you?

Ciao, Mc.

To be more precise, you should copy the contents of the .thudboard folder to the thudboard application folder, i.e. the thudboard.cfg file and the battles folder together.

Note that multiple users starting this ThudBoard application will then see the same battles folder and share the config-file.

Ciao, Marc.

Marc,

Thanks a million Wink ! I'll have a try at that.
