When I try to login at GameServ from my other machine, my keyboard does not seem to work. I tried posting a message, but no letters showed in the letterbox.
I tried to login, but to do that you need to remove the #-signs; hitting [backspace] to do that makes my browser go to a previously visited page, and as a result, log out.
Specs on that machine: SuSE Linux x86 10.0 64bit, latest Firefox, JRE 1.4.2_010b.

This happens to me sometimes as well. What I do is click "refresh", reload the page then I can type. It seems to be a Java-on-Linux (x86) thing. Dewi is aware of it. Hopefully new client will solve the problem.
Hmmm, strange. Refreshing the page did help, since I could type and login as OB. However, both boxes went blank, and the left one said "Connection lost... Reconnecting to Thudgame...".
I had a try at it again a few moments ago, and all seemed to be fine. Problem solved.
OB.
...and here we go again, but this time even stranger. I had to upgrade my Java to 1.5.0_06, and since then when I go to GameServ I get a pristine blank page, with status done. Refresh does not help, gives the same result.

Have you edited the symlink to the Java libs yet? Check out this link; could be that solves it

Yep, get YAST to install your update from SUSE 10.0 CD, and that's all done for you automatically
. But I checked, and the symbolic link's there, and pointing to the right location. I could've guessed anyway, because about:plugins told me Java 1.5.0_06 was installed and working.
Thanks anyway, any other ideas appreciated. Since this is not even close to original topic, do you guess I should start a new topic?
Cheers,
OB
