All games are a challenge to some extent. Tho as now OB has put me on his scoreboard as a matter of pride(*fx checks next step and dictionary meaning of hubris ) i now have to try and keep towards the top(so i wont be too nice ) but i will still answer any questions about my moves as you said you were still learning. You allready have a good start to a block and i think it might be hard to break without losing a troll if you concentrate and hold your nerve. I am willing to swap a Troll for 4 or more Dwarfs so bare that in mind as you consider your moves.

Ok I can see why you are just sauntering over like that...to apply the pressure, but doesn't that just place you piece in more danger from my next move or are you trying to sneak over to do damage on the diagonal? :

It gives me the opportunity to attack on the diagonal there is of course a counter move but that counter move prevents you attacking the Troll thats walked into the danger zone and gives me the opportunity to use that Troll in another type of attack later and of course i will be willing to sacrifice it if i can get 4 or more dwarfs/brake up a block that would cause me more problems later.

Yes very interesting at present - Can't see how you think you can get 4 dwarfs though, unless you get a troll at c10 which doesn't seem possible in the next few moves. I may be completely wrong on where you are thinking of placing a troll.

Are you sure about that? i have an immediate reply of E9 - D10 x C9 and i then can start taking the rest of the block. Your best bet is to decide which one/s you want to save and run away trying to start another block. Unless you want to continue with this? do you want to take that move again? as you just made a monica against another newbie mabye i should not be so generous but you did make the move while playing live thud so think you should have another chance as you could have been distracted by that and my time delayed chatting.

Looking at the board, the following occurs to me....

"doh" your position does place my block at risk I ~should~ have realized that but it was an honest mistake. Not experienced enough to know when to cut and run. I'll know better next time Lets keep going...your move.

Ok then i will do the move i said. This is what i meant by being willing to swap a troll if you get 4 or more dwarfs i only took 2 with my sacrificial troll but imediately got one back with a following troll and that troll was then in position to to get a few more without retribution.

Thats ok this is advantage of slowfire that it can be played against different people on different scedules from all round the world. Despite being on the net for 15 + years I still find it amazing the way that worldwide virtual communitys can develop across the net for all manner of different purposes some serious and some like this just for fun.

I think you are right about your position now i did wonder if you had threatened the troll now on n6 a little earlier from the south east(forceing me to move south) if you might have then been able to then build a strong triangle in the north east but it would have been touch and go.
