Be careful of rogue PMs!

Admin

Several friends have sent out alerts that baddies are targeting their sites and forum communities in a new way - sending individual PMs to forum members about anti-virus and spyware updates. Some, who have followed the links, have had considerable sums withdrawn from their bank accounts without their knowledge. PLEASE don't click on links someone sends you if you don't know them and feel free to contact us on the site-wide contact form if you suspect anything or anyone of such behaviour on our site.

Many thanks.....

Re: Be careful of rogue PMs!

I had that a few weeks ago. Sad Not on this site, I hasten to add, nor one that attacked my bank account, but it was a mean trojan and I lost the use of my computer for a few days. OK, so maybe it's wasn't that similar, but it scared me at the time! Now I know not to click on links about anti spyware.

"Tiddles!" bellowed Moist. He wished he hadn't. It was such a stupid name to shout in a burning building.

An explosion of soup made the bumblebee fly, so I'm told.
