Now the series have been taken up again. Yesterday they showed the water of mars.
I personally thought it was not as "new" and unusual and witty as I hoped for. What do you think about it?

Re: Dr. Who

It was amazing! The doctor seems to be turning into the master, and I'd say that's something new and unusual, not to mention him calling a couple of unimportant humans 'little people' and turning Adelaide's sacrifice into suicide. It was a very different doctor who episode and I can't wait for the final 2 parter. Darkness abounds.

"Tiddles!" bellowed Moist. He wished he hadn't. It was such a stupid name to shout in a burning building.

An explosion of soup made the bumblebee fly, so I'm told.

Oh yes, definitely going dark. The Doctor victorious...
But still, there have been some very lengthy passages. But true, I definitely loved the ending.

I didn't get that far in Season 3 yet. But I will get there soon Wink

I quite liked "the end of the world" though. All these very strange creatures all in one place.

If you like creepy then you should watch the Jon Pertwee Green Death it was the only Dr Who that gave me nightmares as a child and almost got me banned from watching it. I think the episode that made me think most as a child was Tom Bakers Genesis of the Daleks.

Ow, the olden ones. Did you know that it is quite hard to get hold of the old series (well, actually, dr. who in general is quite difficult...). But as soon as I'm finished with season 3 (of the new doctors) I want to start with the old one. It does seem that the doctor was much more successfull than H1N1 in my case Wink

PS: I just realised that I somehow missed "The next doctor" and "Planet of the Dead". How could I not realise that for sooo long...

Re: Dr. Who

Have people seen David Tennant's finale yet? I thought it brilliant, though it definitely benefitted from a second viewing.

Re: Dr. Who

I very much agree. I was once annoyed, particularly after the season finale involving the Master, that they were making the Doctor too omnipotent. But they seem to be turning this into a character development as opposed to a writing mistake. They did quite well with that.
