Unseen Academicals

Librarian

Hey guys. LOOONG time no post. Anywho, anyone else picked this up? I'm about 1/4 in and loving every page. Since I read Mort last, I've noticed a definite shift in style, probably for the better. Any opinions?

I'm just about in the middle of the book. But one thing did strike me as odd. Angua is presented a little bit odd (as is the whole watch, actually), at least during the first encounter with Trev. Is it only me, or what do you think?

Let's start a list with the character don't fitting in your current picture (copy the list into your new post, so we always have a complete list):

- Angua
- Vetinari

Hmm, after finishing the book, I do have to admit that the characters not really changed but developed. You gain an additional insight into the life of vetinary. Also Ridcully and Ponder are "growing" in this book. But still, Angua's character in this book is really weird. Also I always imagined throat to be a tall man. And mightily oats... I just can't figure what happened to him... would be nice to have a book about his life, starting with his birth, including the encounter with Esme and the the development till he meets nutt.

so here the edited list:

- Angua
- Lady Margalotta
- Mightily Oats
- CMOT Dibbler
