When the board map option is turned on all the squares get their grid reference written on. All, that is, except the centre square, H8. I imagine thisis a remnant from before KVT: when H8 was always occuppied by the rock not only would there be no need for anyone to use that grid ref, but it wouldn't even be seen under the rock.
As I say, this is hardly a major problem 
, but for neatness sake might be worth changing in future releases.

Ha, you're right of course, I hadn't noticed that as I never use the grid reference board.
I'm putting it on the todo-list. Don't hold your breath though, there isn't a new release planned anytime soon. But if I make a new release it will probably include an option to enforce the rules (and/or helpers like endangered areas highlighting and such)

I only just noticed this thread, must've missed it when you posted. Apparently Cian was well ahead of us, because the Leather Board grid he sent me has H8. If you want H8 to show, you can download the Leather Board skins from my site, but you need to be aware that the Leather Board has inverted White and ehrm... Red squares (the black squares on your regular board are white in Leather, and vice redsa).

For a quick solution: just edit the image yourself? It's in the img folder.
You can make any board you want this way

I haven't made a new release yet, but I did already update the board-grid image.
You can download it here:

It should be placed in the 'img' subfolder of the location you installed ThudBoard in.
