I have been logging on and using play live chat game and I know for a fact that somebody is on because my friend an I are haveing similar problems and we can never see eachother on or anybody elts

this may be a stupid question, but you have been on at the same time, haven't you? you have communicated somehow and know that the other one was logged in the live chat at the same time as you were?

Check that you have the lastest version of java and that it is enabled especially if you use fire fox and have noscript enabled.

Right underneath the "help"-Button you should at least see your name (or guestxxxx) otherwise the java-applet is not completely loaded.
