Hehe, I figure an I and a small L is easily confused. Therefore in alphabetical Listings I is usally replaced by J and not both letters are used.

also, in some handwritings the capital I and J look pretty much the same - except that the J goes under the bottom line and the I doesn't. Which makes them a bit easy to tell apart when standing alone on a piece of paper without lines (or a thudboard for that matter). If that makes sense...
