So, i saw this film a few weeks ago and completely forgot to post about it! Anyway, on with the show
1. SEE THIS FILM
Right, now we have that cleared up i will explain why:
The acting by all the cast is top notch, as you would expect from such high-calibre actors. The singing is tremendous, the sets and make up - fantastic. The story is very well written and the whole thing is magnificently directed and produced. One of the best films i have ever seen.
So, i would definately recommend it, has anyone else seen it?

it just started in the german cinemas two days ago and ratty and me definitely plan to see it. there is a cinema in a town nearby, where US barracks have been, where they show the movies in english. we've been there in summer to see harry potter and we'll try to go there to see sweeney todd as well, if they've got it on their schedule.
if not - we'll have to see it in german but i would very much prefer the original!

i have heard mixed things about this film, some good and some bad, so not to sure if i will see it, im not a great fan of musicals.

Im not either! i hate them! but this one...is different! It involves Jonny Depp cutting peoples throats!!! tis very dark, and an actul story line, unlike most musicals.

just came back from the movie theatre and i have to say it's an awesome movie, but i'd only recommend it if you don't mind a bit of blood

ratty is right it is awesome if you don't mind a lot of blood but the actors are great and their voices are amazing.
i am really happy that we were able to see the english original. i shudder when i imagine what they must have done to the movie by translating the songs and hearing the dubbed voices!
