ive been neglecting my welcoming duties i fear. um yes there are a few lists, wii canhelp you but do u mean like the basic themes of the books or the specific little comments that are made?

Have you tried wikipedia? I think that if you go through the pages book by book it might mention some of the references... hmm some of them mention it, but by pop culture references do you mean parodies, like the Phantom of the Opera in Maskerade, or hard references like when Rincewind travelled to our world in.... hold on....nah i can't remember which book, or do you mean smaller things like the blue brothers twisted quote in Moving Pictures??

Hi I'm new here too. So nice to waalow around in a surreal environment that feels comfortably normal. By the way, what are thudpoints, how are they gained and what do they do? Is there a place to see a thud board or a demo game to get a grip on the rules, strategies and visuals? Glad to be here

thudpoints are basically a relict of ancient times (sort of). you used to get them for posting, but by now only for posting a topic, blog or images (the last two are reserved for paying members and site officers, i believe). they don't do much, just lie around.
you can download the free thudboard application here. if you just want to see it, you could go to google images. or you could visit the live client. if you are lucky there's someone who can and will play you and help you get a grip. otherwise there's Oograh Boike's Unofficial Thud Page where you can download old games, but to watch them you will also need the thudboard application i mentioned above.
