Well on b you could look at the type of FO cable they made at Bath Uni which has holes all along it and the light is bounced along the holes i think i know the real reason they made it but the real MIB's might still come along and give me a sever talking to in extreme body language if i let on tho i am sure the KGB knew before me anyway. Also FO cable can be used for quantum entanglement encryption you might find out some more about this on the new scientist website but to see a lot of the good stuff you need a subscription but there will be a lot out there for free on the net as i have said before google is your friend. Alice and Bob are useful terms to put in any search for encryption methods.

yeah. Alice and Bob are usually used to show examples of stuff. in encryption Alice sends crypted messages to Bob, in relativity physics Alice sees Bob sitting in a cart moving in next-to-light speeds, causing his time to dialate, and so on. Claire is usually the third person, but in encryption its sometimes the evil Eve, that tries to hack into Alice and Bob's messages and decode them. oddly, no-one ever uses David.

I hope you still have some time to do your work so that I might give you some advice or proposals who might be able to help you.

1st history:
I cannot help you here. My own knowledge in this field is limited and I guess you could look it up in an ecyclopedia yourself. Maybe theres someone else here who might be able to help but to be honest, I doubt it.

2nd Fiber optics:
I'll give you here two quite common uses of fiber optics:

- the very common glass fiber cable for telecomunication purposes
- Medical uses in minimal invasive surgery as flexible camera (endoscope), or some sort of flexible laser-scalpell

If you need more examples try wikipedia, they'll give you a point to start with.

3rd the lab report: I guess no one here can help you there.

4rd physics : Why not ? As long as it's not quantum physics or the mathematical side of the relativity theory I might be able to help you (I'am an engineer so physics is in some way built in )

5th logic & mathematics: I should be able to help you there too but at least with the matrices it's been some time. But if I know this correct, Elerias is studiing Mathematics so maybe he might be able to help you. At least it's worth a try.

So if you want help, ask me, Elerias or anyone else you think fit but either way, we will need more specific information about the actual problem to be helpful.

alas, most of the course IS mathematics of relativity and quantuum. also some waves things, light, defraction and a few select others but mainly QM and relativity

but thanks for the advice medical anmd encrypion I tyhink are my two main foci on the FOC thing. I may need some matrix advice after my papers are done...and calculus too....I need a break. [sad]

I'm an Mechatronics engineer (it's a mix of mechanical engineering, electrotechnology and computer science) so I have a broad knowledge base on a lot of things.

Btw. Quantum and relativity are a field of interest for me but since I have never had the whole mathematical theory at school or university it's more about the rough knowledge how it might work.
