You should've kept quiet there - I thought it was all part of a grand plan to attract my troll towards the top of the board, so I couldn't attack on the left so easily... It seems to have worked, anyway - I doubt i'll be able to break the block you're building now without losing at least 1 troll.

That was a bit of a waste - you'd done the hard work building that block on the left, and if you'd done C12 - C5, my troll on D8 wouldn't have been able to attack C7 without being bounced, so he'd have had to go D8 - C8 x B7. You could then have replaced B7 with the dwarf on A8, and I'd have had nowhere to go.

I guess this block is going to recover - one way around it would have been to do
T H10 - K12 x J13 x K13 x L13
instead of
T H12 - H13 x J13 x J14
Since you'd then have been able to use H12 to tidy up without being at risk

I might be able to recover again, here. When you're looking at sacrificing a troll to break a block, I find you almost always need to have two lines (probably one straight and one diagonal) so that you can send the new troll right into the heart of the block after the previous one is taken. If you only have one line, the second troll will always be blocked by the dwarf that takes the first one.
