you get people pretending to be people they are not. all too often in the news you hear of some young innocent girl meeting up with her "myspace buddy" who turns out to be a 40 year old man who has a "thing" for young girls...let me say. not nice.
and anyone who has one is completely self endulgent! except maybe the band sites, i suppose they are a good way of getting your band heard

well that does show how good it is at being thegeneric personal page.
I'm a guy brought up around unix by an engineer. one of the things is was brought up to believ in is that thngs should do very little but do them well. and i replaced the antichrist with things like pop-ups and flashy stuff.
is there a place that looks simple, is simple that allows u to make a page all about u and nothing else?

fb is a place where you can make a page for urslef. the purpose is to give ppl an oportunity to hunt down their long lost class mates. you give them you high school, uni etc and there is a search option. I think the idea is gud so i technically have one but haven't touched it
bebo appears to be like a combo of youtube and myspace where there are vids but you have pages and clubs etc

is kinda worth it cos you get to meet up with people you know,knew and have met from around the world,it's the only way i keep in touch with a lot of my friends
