No piece may jump over any other piece including the rock.

Is it possible to get rid of "wrote"?

I expect it would be, but only across the whole system, by changing the php script which runs this. I certainly cant remember ever seeing an example of such a quote without the "wrote" on it.

Than here is something new for you Wink But if you use quotes this way you have to add a sentence like "Quoting the rulebook:".

I thought the idea was to have
"Rulesbook"
but not
"wrote"
So just having
"Quote"
isn't really what the original question was after - or at least, that's my interpretation of the situation.

Mr Scrub

I've seen people on other forums modifying it, not sure if they were on the same forum system as here.

"No piece may jump over any other piece including the rock."

I see 2 ways of interperting this:

Either

No-one can jump over anyone else, and no-one can jump over the rock, OR

No-one, including the rock, can jump over anyone else.

Can the rock move, or am I misinterperting?Smile

Everything's got an end. A sausage has even got two.

Sausages! Hot sausages! Inna bun! Meat pies! Get them while they're hot!
... Hole food! Hole food! Rat! Rat! Rat-onna-stick! Rat-in-a-bun! Get them while they're dead!

that would both be pretty much the same, meaning that no things on the board can jump any other things on the board (though this rather broad definition would also include eg peanuts accidentaly dropped on the board (PEANUT!!!!!)). but as the rock can't move (at least not in any form of thud known to me (i don't play kv, but it doesn't really move by itself there, does it?)) i prefer the first version. even though they both mean the same...
