Could be post the famoust discworld characters in English,German and all of the other languages we have here at thudgame.com?It would help if me - or someone else - want to translate a name...

most of them probably are...that's what translators do unless it doesn't fit the characer...but most of the translations i've read (not DW) do try to stay with the true meaning of the names

In Genua it's a great way to confuse people: we make up a name for them then make up a nickname for our made up name Laughing
Keeps visitors on their toes Wink

Not really a translation for Discworld names but maybe we could make up our own names, or maybe something like that (non)rhyming slang in one of the books. Smile
