In 2005L we still seem to get the high-detail debug style messages for each comment another person in thud chat makes (e.g.

which could put off Joe Public somewhat.
Secondly, when player one resigns from the first half player two gets a message to the effect "do you agree to end this half & play next". All well and good. But if player one then resigns from the second half, the same message is sent to player two, and indeed the same changing of sides occurs, so it seems one could well be stuck in a never-ending cycle of games. I'd personally enjoy that, as I'm sure most of us would, but it might have a slightly detrimental effect on our education/earning power ![]()
The addition(return?) of the normal maximise/minimise/close buttons has sorted the problem of the screen being too large for 800x600 to start with, as it can now be appropriately resized.

Another point (I'm just full of criticism today
) is that there isnt yet a link to the game from either thud.org.uk or thudguild.com (although looking back at the announcement it seems quite possible that that is deliberate)...
"LOOKS PERFECTLY LOGICAL TO ME"
ThudGame v2005m fixes the debugging stuff.
It also should fix flickering in almost all situations. By massively loading my machine, I've been able to still observe flickering in the following situations:
1) Movement (should be able to optimise that so it's not a problem, too: will try to in the 2005n release)
2) Board rotation (that one NEEDS a full redraw, so optimisation may not be possible)
3) Scroll-to-bottom on the chat window (no idea what's causing that to trigger a redraw!)
There's an embarassing bug in that version with the rotation of the selected piece. That was a nasty one to track down, but I have it fixed in my current working build, which I'll upload later today as 2005n.
