Perseids meteor shower tonight for those in the northern hemisphere any time after dark tho the peak is meant to be between 2 and 3 in the morning UK time. it could be a good one 40 - 100 an hour depending on sources but as ever you can never tell until it happens.
PS directions
There are coming from the NE horizon, the easiest way to find the source of them is to find Cassiopeia the big W and then look down and right a bit. i saw a good one last night but then it clouded over

Well i had a reasonable view and managed to see quite a few including some bright long ones there were clouds but they were in a big circle around Cassiopeia for most of the time so i seem to be one of the fortunate ones.
Where are we going and why am i in this handbasket?...
...Oh! always try to look on the bright side...

at one point in time i could see hayleys [not sure about spelling] comet in my night sky for about a week.was really cool

I did see Halley's comet when it was last here but only just it was a small fuzzy dot not as spectacular as hale-bop or the the most recent one in the link above.

I looked out for quite a bit but didn't see anything. Might be London night sky
Around 4AM Sunday morning of the Jamboree I saw two, though
One went streaking (so to speak
) straight into the Pleiades
