Request for volunteers

Work never stops here at Koom Valley Central and we have several new projects up our sleeve for Thudgame.com but we need help in making them useful. All will include a free membership with all attendant privileges (displaying avatars, playing in tournaments, etc...) and will earn a Thudpoints salary every month like the Druids do.

There will be shiny powers (but not pointy sticks - Ponder's complained about the size of our carbon footprint should everyone be cutting pointy sticks off of trees...sigh ) and our everlasting good favour (or at least some nice Discworld swag whenever we meet up in person )

As a group, you will also have your own ancient and justified title from the Discworld's distinguished characters pantheon - "Librarian" - with shiny (or possibly glowing) badge to display in the forums as well

The duties are these and you are able to choose to do one, some or all of them. We only require reasonable out put of reasonable quality:

* Category Librarian: categorise content by creating taxonomic vocabulary term hierarchies that describe content.

* New Content Librarian: free tag new content as it's added to the site.

Both of these make the content more appealing to Google and friends and lets them get their teeth into what we're talking about and thus easier to index. Search engines like this.

We will also be able to put up a tag cloud of links to different types of content so that people can find stuff that interests them more quickly. Those who take a break, go away, aren't on the site for a while for whatever reason, etc, can come back and see what's been going on very quickly.

It's not hard work, just a few minutes per week if we have enough people. Who wants to help out?
