A new game of forests and a BigBadBoogyman

The GAME without a NAME

This is a small game i made a vew months ago. Feel free to play, enjoy and comment on it!
Since English isn't my nativelanguage the rules may be a bit unclear on some (or a lot ...:S:S:S) of points. Ask me (in the thudclient or by PM/mail) if anything isn't clear.
.
.
.
.
.
First, what do you need to play it.
.
.
37 hexagonal tiles. (I used the tiles from a setlers from Catan/Siedler von Catan game. But you can make your own ofcourse)
.
7 green and 7 red pawns
.
1 marked green and one marked red pawn. (I decapitated one of each color and glued the head of a yellow pawn on them, but you could also paint them)
.
a LOT of yellow pawns; at least 20. (You can use coins for those as wel)
.
This set of rules Wink
.
.
Object of the game
.
The player who gets his 7th pawn on the board first wins. (note that the BBB doesn't count for achieving the winning condition)
.
.
Set up
.
-Place the tiles so that they make a hexagonal board, 4 tiles on each side.
-Decide which player goes first.
.
.
Start of the game.
.
- The first player places his first pawn on one of tiles.
-Then the second player places both of his pawns on the board.
- Finally the first player places his second pawn.
.
.
How to play.
.
Each player gets two 'actions' per turn.
An action can be one of the following:
- make one step with one of your pawns
- spawn a new pawn of your color
- spawn your BigBadBoogyman' (BBB)
- move your BBB up to three steps
.
.
*make one step with a pawn
.
Each pawn is only allowed to make one 'action' per turn. So you can't move the same pawn 2 steps in one turn.
When a pawn leaves a tile it places a yellow one on it. This rule only applies when the leaving pawn is the last pawn of that player leaving the tile.
.
For example:
(R = red pawn. Y = yellow pawn)
.
.
The RedP. leaves the field placing a yellowP on it.
.
|....R...||empty field| -> |... Y ....|... R....|
.
.
.
A redP leaves but isn't the last RedP, so he doesn't leave a yellowP.
| . R R . |empty field| -> | . .R . . | . . R . . |
.
.
.
A redP leaves a field where there already is a yellow pawn. He still is the last pawn of the color leaving, so you get another YellowP.
| Y R |empty field| -> | . Y Y . | . . R . . |
.
.
.
*spawn a new pawn of your color
If you have two yellow pawns and one of your own standing on the same tile; your pawn can spawn a new one of his color. He replaces the two yellowPs with one new RedP This counts as an 'action'. So that Pawn isn't allowed to do anything else that turn.
.
| . R Y Y . | -> | . R R . |
.
A newly spawned pawn cant make any actions in his first turn on the board.
.
.
* spawn your BigBadBoogyman' (BBB)
You can spawn your BBB in the same way as an ordinary pawn. Only the BBB costs you 2 yellow AND your own pawn on the tile:
.
| . R Y Y . | -> | 'BBB' |
.
.
.
* move your BBB up to three steps
First: the BBB CAN move in the same turn you spawned him!! (unlike the ordinary pawns)
.
You can move your BBB up to three steps, this counts as one action. Also the BBB isn't allowed to make two 'actions' in one turn; so you cant move him 6 steps in a single turn.
The BBB cannot pass any tiles with yellow pawns on them! Those tiles are a 'no go area' for him.
.
The BBB is the only piece that can 'capture' your opponents pawns:
Like in Chess, you capture by placing your piece on the same field as your opponents, capturing everything standing there. So you can capture more then one piece in this way.

Re: A new game of forests and a BigBadBoogyman

Additional rules and notes.
Some limitations:

- There can NEVER be more then 3 pawns (in any combination of colors) on the same tile.
- There can't be more then 2 yellow pawns on a tile. Because this would block the tile forever. (this rule is open for debate. Perhaps it CAN be fun to block half of the board)
- If there are three pawns of your color on the same tile, your opponents BBB cant capture them. (the BBB would be the 4th pawn on the tile)

.

- The BBBs can't capture eachother or move through eachother:
So if you place your BBB on a field with one of your own pawns your pawns are safe from capture.

- The BBB doesn't count for your 7th pawn win condition.
- You cannot pass a move, if you can make an action, you must.
Only if you have just one pawn left you are limited to one action in that turn.
- Yellow pawns do NOT have an owner. . . . . . . . . . . . . . (Very important!!!)
Both sides can use the yellow pawns the other is leaving behind.

In fact, thats waht this game is allabout. Using the yellows your opponent leaves more efficient then the ones you leave.

.

The general idea of this game is that you have a lot of pawns walking over the board making a 'yellow forest' the same pawns chop the forest to spawn new pawns, and your BBB is walking in the open fileds waiting for enemy pawns to leave the forest or chop down their cover.

.

.

Well, good luck with decripting the rules!!! and have a lot of fun with it!!!
any suggestions on rules are welcome!

.
many thanks in advance for anyone who tries to learn my game!

Re: A new game of forests and a BigBadBoogyman

Phew!! it's finished

After re rereading my posts yesterday i realised it is an unreadable piece of text. I have a new manual now with lots of pictures, an example game and a fancy make up. Unfortunatly its a word document. But if you're interested you can give me a PM, i'll email it to you.
