this might sound strange, and to be honest I'm not entirely sure what I'm typing as the text is in white as is the background to which I'm typing to.
The white text does look good on the post on the forum, but in this bit where you first type the post I can't read what I'm typing. Is there any way of changing the colour of this background in this bit.
Not sure if anyone has raised this yet. I think It also might be mac pesific. can't remember it being like this at work on the pc.

So either its been sorted or it is a mac thing. its alright on my work PC I'll check the mac when I get home...
right it is a Mac thing...
It is fine on the PC at work
but on the mac the section where youtype the text, has a white back ground. making life a little difficult.

I will look into that. Could you possibly tell me which browser you use on your Mac as that might determine a particular course of action?
Many thanx in advance,
Safari
its Mac's standard ... I think.
OK, this should be fixed now and work under IE, Firefox and derivatives, Opera and KHTML/Safari. There seems to be a rendering bug in the recent version of the KHTML engine (code base that Safari and Konqueror are built from) that borks when confronted with semi-transparent GIFs. Nevermind, they've been replaced by a solid colour.
On another note I've uploaded an ever-so-slightly modified version of another "medieval-themed" forum skin so those who don't like whatisreal can check that out now. I'll also be linking to this in reply to others who have queried forum skins/look and similar.
