We proudly present the Thud Limited Edition Game Piece set. Made in the style and feel of pieces cut from ancient slate in the heart of the dwarf mines, carved by master craftsmen and smoothed by the centuries of use.
These antique games pieces have been individually polished and finished by hand by Master Thud craftsmen. The dwarf pieces stand about 2-1/8th inches tall (5.5cm) and the trolls are just under 3 inches (7.5cm) tall.
Each dwarf carries a mining axe and a battle axe and the troll is standing on the remains of the tree from which he tore his club.
Each set is shipped inside an embossed box, one that would not look out of place on a discerning collectors shelf or within the Oblong Office. Each piece is has its own place in the box, set within safety foam ensuring safe delivery anywhere in the world.
Smooth and well-worn to the touch; heavy and substantial like the rocks stratas mined in the Low Kings mines, the pieces add a sensory gravitas to the game. Each piece is hand finished making it, and each set, completely unique.
There will be only 100 sets of this design sold. Each set will be individually numbered and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the craftsman and certified by us. Every set will be registered with us so that someone purchasing a secondhand set can be sure of buying a genuine Thud Limited Edition product.
Shipping is included within the purchase price anywhere within the Roundworld. For shipping to the Discworld, or to other alternative meta-universes, we have to charge a small fee to cover risks of thaumic instability, thin fabric over the dungeon dimensions and random interventions by (and not necessarily in this order, or limited to these circumstances) gods, heroes, Rincewind and/or the Luggage, quantum tunneling by metasyntactic entities or The Lady "'aving the 'ump" because of something Offler or Blind Io did. This fee is small and changes hourly so inquire beforehand. Otherwise shipping to anywhere on planet Earth is free of charge.
